DELF/DALF are awarded by the French Ministry of Education to prove the French-language skills of non-French candidates. logo delf dalf feiCandidates can take DELF and DALF diplomas independently of each other, in the same country or in different countries and without limitation in time.

This DELF/DALF dilploma consists in 6 autonomous diplomas corresponding to the 6 levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages :
 
  • A1 DELF A1 Breakthrough level     
  • A2 DELF A2 Waystage level     
  • B1 DELF B1 Threshold  level     
  • B2 DELF B2 Vantage level     
  • C1 DALF C1 Proficiency level
  • C2 DALF C2 Mastery level
Université de Nantes only opens diplomas in B1, B2 & C1 level.

Objectives

DELF/DALF consists in 4 parts, assessing each candidates skills in :    
  • oral comprehension

  • writing comprehension
  • written expression

Conditions of admission / Conditions of successful application

Registration at DELF DALF is open to everyone. You do not have to be a student at the Université de Nantes to register. Any foreign national wishing to assess and validate their French skills for personal or professional purposes may take the exam. The same candidate may take several degrees at the same session.

Candidates can practice with the books available at the Language Resource Center.  You can also visit  France Education International  websites which offers samples and practice papers, as well as a complete bibliography of resources.

  • DALF C1: 145€

Conditions of submission

Former candidates who have already taken the DELF or DALF exam and have not passed it must send :
-  a copy of their previous session transcripts by e-mail sul-fle@univ-nantes.fr or by mail to find their former candidate number
a sworn letter to renounce to their previous diploma
